The gravestone of Joy Division singer, Ian Curtis, has been stolen! According to the B.B.C., it became missing some time between yesterday afternoon and this morning from the Macclesfield Cemetery in Cheshire, England. The gravestone has never been thieved before and police are certainly baffled. Who the hell does that? Super fan? Super obsessed? Super crazy? Let's hope it gets returned! I'm sure his family, friends - er, well, everyone - aren't too happy about this.In May of 1980, 23 year old Curtis hung himself in his kitchen after suffering from depression and epilepsy. The rest of the band went on to later form New Order, but Joy Division may be as popular as ever. Control, a critically acclaimed biopic about Curtis, was released in 2007 and a film documentary, called Joy Division, was released earlier in 2008.
